Bonaparte Meadows Campaign Update
$150,000 Match Met for Bonaparte Meadows
Supporter generosity unlocks $300,000 and brings the campaign to 93.7% of its $1.5 million goal.
Okanogan Land Trust announced today that the $150,000 matching challenge for Bonaparte Meadows has been fully met , generating $300,000 for the campaign through matched contributions.
As of August 3, the For the Fen! campaign has raised $1,405,702, or 93.7% of its $1.5 million goal. The campaign now has $94,298 remaining to raise by August 31.
The match was established by four anonymous donors who collectively committed $150,000 and invited supporters to match their generosity dollar for dollar.
Donors responded from across the region and beyond, completing the challenge and moving the campaign significantly closer to its goal.
“This match was completed one gift at a time, by people who believe Bonaparte Meadows is worth protecting. We are deeply grateful to the four donors who created this opportunity and to every person who helped meet it.”
The milestone reflects far more than financial contributions. Throughout the campaign, supporters have shared information, attended events, introduced others to the project, asked thoughtful questions, and helped build awareness of Bonaparte Meadows and the effort to conserve it.
The announcement comes during a difficult period for communities across North Central Washington affected by wildfires. Okanogan Land Trust’s thoughts are with those who have been evacuated or experienced loss, along with the firefighters, emergency responders, volunteers, and neighbors working across the region.
“In a season asking so much, the generosity behind this milestone feels especially meaningful,” Miller said.
With the matching challenge complete, the campaign is now focused on raising the final $94,298 needed by August 31.
