Our website may also collect technical information, including IP addresses, browser and device information, and website activity through cookies and analytics technologies.

How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to support our conservation mission and maintain relationships with the people and communities we serve.

This includes:

  • Processing donations and providing acknowledgments and tax receipts.
  • Maintaining accurate donor and constituent records.
  • Sharing conservation news, project updates, event invitations, and fundraising communications.
  • Responding to questions and requests.
  • Managing event registrations and volunteer participation.

Donor Privacy and Confidentiality

Okanogan Land Trust does not sell, rent, exchange, or share donor mailing lists or donor information with other organizations for their independent marketing or fundraising purposes.

Donor information is used to administer contributions, maintain accurate records, acknowledge generosity, and support ongoing relationships with our contributors.

OLT uses trusted service providers to securely process donations, maintain donor records, and deliver organizational communications. These include Little Green Light for constituent management, Stripe and PayPal for payment processing, and Mailchimp for email communications. Information shared with these providers is limited to what is needed for their respective services and is handled according to their applicable privacy and security practices.

Donations and Payment Processing

OLT uses Little Green Light to manage donor and constituent records. Online contributions are processed through third-party payment services, including Stripe and PayPal.

OLT does not retain payment card numbers or other payment credentials for donations made online, by telephone, or in person.

Payment processors manage transaction information according to their own security practices and privacy policies.

For recurring donations, payment authorization and credentials are maintained by the applicable payment provider to facilitate future transactions.

OLT retains donation records, including contribution amounts, dates, designations, and other information necessary for accounting, acknowledgment, and donor stewardship.

Email Communications and Subscriptions

OLT uses Mailchimp to manage email subscriptions and distribute newsletters, conservation updates, fundraising appeals, and event announcements.

Subscribers may provide their name, email address, and communication preferences.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those messages. You may also contact OLT to update your communication preferences.

Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not prevent necessary administrative communications, such as donation acknowledgments or transaction receipts.

Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website uses cookies and related technologies to support website functionality, manage visitor preferences, and understand how visitors interact with our content.

We use Google Analytics to collect information about website activity, including page visits, traffic sources, and visitor interactions. This information helps us evaluate website performance and improve how we communicate our conservation work.

Google Analytics may collect technical information about visitors, including device, browser, and online identifiers, in accordance with Google’s applicable privacy practices.

Our website also uses cookie consent management tools to provide information about cookies and available visitor preferences.

For additional details, please review our Cookie Policy.

How We Share Information

OLT shares personal information with service providers as needed to support organizational operations, including payment processing, donor and constituent record management, email communications, website hosting, analytics, and event administration.

These providers process information in connection with their respective services and operate under their own applicable privacy and security practices.

OLT does not provide donor information to other organizations for independent marketing or fundraising purposes.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the security, rights, and integrity of our organization and its systems.

Data Security and Retention

OLT takes reasonable administrative and technical measures to safeguard personal information against unauthorized access, misuse, loss, or disclosure.

No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Personal information is generally retained for the duration of an individual’s relationship with Okanogan Land Trust.

Certain records, including financial transactions and donation histories, may be retained longer when necessary to satisfy legal, accounting, tax, or organizational recordkeeping requirements.

You may contact Okanogan Land Trust to:

  • Ask about the personal information we maintain about you.
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information.
  • Update your communication preferences.
  • Request deletion of personal information, subject to applicable legal and recordkeeping obligations.

We will review and respond to privacy-related requests in accordance with applicable requirements.
