OLT Hard At Work During COVID-19 Crisis
Dear Okanogan Land Trust Community:
It’s times like these that remind us how connected we are! It stems from our dependence on the environment and one another to work together. As always, we have a responsibility to take care of both those elements. We’ll do our part to stay put, and have put on hold all in-person OLT events. We’ll keep you posted with updates each month.
Our heads are down only to keep working hard! We’re finishing applications for funding that would support at least four conservation easements that will keep land in agriculture in Okanogan and Ferry Counties this year. We’re re-visioning outreach to stay in touch, starting with this message.
Stay strong, healthy, and vibrant. You are important to this community!
What a time to be thankful for the open spaces and working farms that preserve rural landscapes- invaluable places for environmental AND human health. Let’s push through this together with a renewed sense of gratitude for the balance that these protected places provide in our community.
With Heartfelt Thanks,
The Okanogan Land Trust Staff & Board
